The tense relationship between Charles and Alice was the elephant in the room in the team meeting. Nobody wanted to directly confront their ongoing dispute, despite the fact that everyone was mindful of it.
The elephant in the room at a dinner party was the host’s crazy absurdities. Even though Lisa, Joe, and Sophie all felt awkward, none wanted to speak up about the inappropriate behavior.
Nobody had the guts to bring up the elephant in the room and to ask David about his health even though he had been clearly losing weight and showing indications of health issues.
